Boron Nitride for Lubricants
Lubricants are used in a wide variety of applications. A fundamental requirement of lubricants is to reduce mechanical friction between different moving parts, being capable of performing efficiently and rapidly where needed over a broad range of working temperatures.
In the HeBoLub® range, Boron Nitride additives are blended with base oils that, thanks to their properties, enhance the performance of the resulting lubricant. Current technical needs and developments demand an increasingly widespread use of intelligent lubricants that offer enhanced performance and specific properties.
The use of a high-quality lubricant that incorporates appropriate additives (such as Boron Nitride lubricant additives) represents customised tribological solutions that provide increased efficiency and reliability. This way, friction and wear are reduced, the lubricant’s load-bearing capacity is increased, and dry-running properties are improved.
The highly concentrated HeBoLub® oil dispersion is a suitable lubricant additive for a wide range of applications. Furthermore, it is specially designed for situations where friction and wear reduction are desired, even at high working temperatures.
HeBoFill® – Boron Nitride Powder
Boron Nitride powder, which can be added to various base substrates, facilitates lubrication.
Due to the wide variety of situations and processes where Boron Nitride powder – HeBoFill® can be applied, there are three product lines within the range:
- HeBoFill® Basic Line: The all-around Boron Nitride powder line. It ensures easy integration into production, providing good thermal and non-adhesive properties.
- HeBoFill® Lub Line: Crystalline structure specifically designed to enhance lubrication. Ideal for use in lubricants or greases.
- HeBoFill® Cool Line: The preferred line when seeking to improve the thermal conductivity of the base material while maintaining its electrical insulation properties. It is aimed at sectors like electronics or electric vehicles due to the growing thermal management needs in increasingly powerful electronic systems.
HeBoLub® – Boron Nitride oil
Lubricant additives – HeBoLub® are available in two different formulations:
- HeBoLub® O10: Lubricant additive with 10% solids (BN Boron Nitride), featuring a stable dispersion of Hexagonal Boron Nitride particles. All in a high-quality base oil that, when added to other lubricants, helps reduce friction and wear.
- HeBoLub® O30: Highly concentrated lubricant additive with a 30% Boron Nitride content. It offers the high performance of HeBoLub® O10 along with high stability and no separation from the base oil over time.
