Aluminium Nitride (AlN)
Aluminium nitride ceramics exhibit remarkably high thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, and minimal dielectric losses. Its coefficient of thermal expansion closely resembles that of silicon. As a next-generation ceramic material, aluminium nitride demonstrates excellent compatibility with circuit materials. This makes it suitable for multilayer wiring, rendering it an ideal choice for semiconductor module circuits and high-power devices.
Characteristics
Extremely high thermal conductivity
The thermal conductivity of aluminium nitride is the highest among all ceramic materials, similar to that of aluminium, and six times higher than that of alumina.
High electrical insulation capacity
It offers excellent insulation properties and low dielectric loss characteristics. Additionally, its thermal expansion is like that of silicon.
Dense and
non-toxic
Aluminium nitride is non-toxic and is considered as a substitute for beryllium oxide in semiconductor applications.
Applications
- Solid-state LED lighting, high-frequency microwave devices, and communication modules.
- Inverters for photovoltaic cells, wind power generators, and new energy vehicles.
- Crucibles for non-ferrous metal melting, evaporating dishes, and magnetic fluid power generation devices.
- High-temperature levelers and corrosion-resistant parts.
